Become a Member
By becoming an ESW member, you can show your support for our mission to reduce global poverty through positive, sustainable change. Your ESW membership will provide you with a number of benefits, including participation in local events and ability to apply for ESW projects.
Contributions from membership fees support both the national organization and registered chapters. Membership is valid for one year from the date the application is processed. All members receive automated emails upon confirmation of the application, payment, and at least one month prior to membership expiration.

Member Levels and Benefits
Associate Member
Dues: none
Benefits:
- Participation in meetings and events
- Option to receive monthly electronic newsletters
- Option to volunteer as a Project Consultant
- Access to limited tools in the Member Resource Center (message boards, member profile, chapter start-up materials)
Full Student Member
Dues: $10
Benefits:
- Participation in meetings and events
- Eligibility for project volunteer positions
- Eligibility for chapter and national leadership positions
- Option to receive monthly electronic newsletters
- Receive bi-annual newsletters
- Full access to the Member Resource Center, including our partner organization database, funding database, project applications.
- Vote at the chapter and national level
Full Professional Member
Dues: $45
Benefits:
- Same as for Full Student Members; and
- Option to volunteer as a Project Consultant
- Note: Eligibility for "chapter and national leadership positions" includes Advisor positions
Member Affiliation
By affiliating with a local chapter, you will be considered a member of that chapter. Chapter officers have direct access to their membership directory to better coordinate their programs. 50% of your membership fees will also go directly to the chapter with which you affiliate.
All non-affiliated members are considered "At-Large Members". If your community does not currently have a chapter, please see the Chapters section to find out more about starting one.
